My first BBS was a dialup BBS known as the USS Enterprise BBS and was running on VBBS 6.14a by
Roland DeGraff.
As dial-up BBSes began to die off I switched to Illusion, then Telegard to be able to run a
telnet BBS since VBBS at the time couldn't run telnet.
Eventually lack of callers and a bad harddrive forced
me to decommission USS Enterprise BBS on stardate 199517.3.
After my first officer (and wife of 22 years) died on stardate 200226.11 I decided to get my commission
back.
On stardate 200215.12 I put Nassau Web Technologies BBS online running Synchronet. It was then
I met Roger Shays, who was invaluable with helping me
learn Synchronet. Roger later became my number
one. I noticed my BBS was again rapidly taking on a sci-fi theme, so around stardate 200303.12 Deep
Space 69 BBS was born.
It was then I met my now security chief Worf (Matt Kraner). Greg Youngblood told me where I could obtain
a copy of VADV (the latest version of VBBS) so, 2 weeks later I dropped Synchronet and started running
VA.
That brings us to the present, I'm still running VA to this day.
